Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind Bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, Qatar Green Building Conference “2018 – The Impact” is Qatar Green Building Council’s (QGBC) 4th annual conference, which is scheduled to take place on 28-30 October at the Sheraton Hotel.
This year, the conference will address major sustainability solutions and their impact on driving a more resilient built environment for Qatar, the Gulf region and beyond. The conference will take a lead in the debate on sustainability challenges and highlight research and industry best practice. It will help the construction and sustainable development sector deliver green building solutions to environmental challenges in Qatar, the region and the world.
This year, with the Al-Attiyah Foundation taking on the role of strategic partner, the foundation will host a number of private and public events over the course of the week.
Day 1: 28th October
Opening of the Qatar Green Building Conference, Sheraton Hotel.
- Opening Ceremony Address – the launch of Al-Attiyah Foundation's Best Practice in CSR Handbook.
- Gala Dinner Attendance for event sponsors and supporters.
- Best Practice in CSR Energy Award in association with the Al-Attiyah Foundation.
Day 2: 29th October
Al-Attiyah Foundation as Official Hosts - Green Buildings Conference, Sheraton Hotel.
- Panel Discussions: ‘The Role of the Energy Sector in Responding to Climate Change’ with expert panellists in cooperation with the ‘Center on Global Energy Policy’
Day 3: 30th October
Al-Attiyah Foundation Quarterly CEO Roundtable – Four Seasons Hotel, Doha
- “The Geopolitics of Energy & Climate Change”
- Standard CEO Round Table Format
- Attendance by invitation only
- World-renowned experts from ‘Center on Global Energy Policy’

Day 4: 31st October
